We don’t have fake professors in FUTA

The Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, has dismissed reports that there are fake professors in the institution.

While describing the reports making the rounds as baseless, the management of the institution stated that the names of alleged fake professors in circulation, purported to be its academic staff, are fictitious.

In a statement, the Registrar of FUTA, Charles Adeleye, appealed to the public to disregard the purported list in circulation.

“It would have completely ignored the patently false information, but for the spurious claim that some names on the concocted list were identified as belonging to the university.

“The names paraded under FUTA are pure fiction, and no such names exist in the staff list of the university.

“Names of all bonafide members of staff and those in the professorial cadre are listed in the university calendar,” Adeleye said.
