The Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has called on pilgrims from the state for the 2022 Hajj exercise to behave themselves very well in the holy Land, in line with
Hajj rules and regulations.
The Governor who addressed the pilgrims at the Hajj camp in Abuja, on Sunday, charged them on strict adherence with the laws and tradition of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom and the rules governing the Hajj exercise.
Governor Bello prayed for the safe arrival of the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia Kingdom.
He called on them to assist one another. His words ” assist the elderly, the weak and those who are not very conversant with the area.
“It is my fervent prayers that Almighty Allah will take you safely to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He warned against anyone escaping from their camps, saying “Nigeria is a very good country, and called on all the pilgrims to pray for the progress and development of Kogi state and Nigeria as a whole
The Governor thereafter directed that each pilgrims should be given $100 dollars , which he said is in keeping with the tradition of his late mother.
Reacting, HRH, Alh Ahmed Tijany Muhammad Anaje the Amirul Hajj for Kogi State for the 2022, thanked Governor Bello for all his assistance to the pilgrims.
He assured that the pilgrims will pray for the peace, progress and security of Kogi state and Nigeria
He prayed to Almighty Allah to guide and protect the Governor and his team.
