“Your doggedness inspires us all” – Tinubu hails Buhari at 82

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm wishes to his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday, celebrated in Daura, Katsina State.

In a statement, Tinubu lauded Buhari’s unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s development and unity, emphasizing his enduring influence on the nation’s progress.

“Your steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s advancement and unity inspires many, and your enduring legacy continues to guide our nation’s journey towards prosperity and stability,” Tinubu stated.

Reflecting on Buhari’s political journey, Tinubu praised his resilience in contesting presidential elections in 2003, 2007, and 2011 before achieving victory in 2015 and 2019.

“Your doggedness and resilience inspire us never to give up,” he said.

Tinubu also highlighted his intention to build on Buhari’s infrastructure achievements under the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, promising to sustain the progress made during Buhari’s tenure.

Concluding his message, Tinubu expressed heartfelt wishes for Buhari: “On this special day, may you be surrounded by the love of your family and friends and continue to enjoy good health, happiness, and fulfilment in all your endeavours, now and in the future.”
