Reno Omokri has criticized former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, following his recent comments about the Tinubu administration’s use of government funds for the construction of a railway in Lagos.
In a scathing tweet on X, Omokri reminded el-Rufai of his controversial admission of using government funds to pay killer herdsmen, accusing him of hypocrisy for now complaining about the current administration’s spending on infrastructure.
Omokri suggested that el-Rufai would have preferred the money be used to fund Boko Haram instead.
His words: “Just imagine, Nasir el-Rufai, a man who publicly admitted to using government money to pay killer herdsmen, is today complaining that the Tinubu administration is using government money to build a railway in Lagos.
“Maybe he would have preferred if the money was used to pay Boko Haram!”
Omokri, who served as one of the spokespersons of opposition leader and Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, made a u-turn after the polls and started supporting President Bola Tinubu.
