Wikki Tourists head coach Mohammed Azeez said that recent warm-up matches have shown his team’s level of readiness for the 2023-24 Nigeria National League season.
The former Kwara United tactician disclosed this after their 3-0 victory against Jigawa Stars at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
According to him: “The major reason for the friendly games was not only winning but also for us to see how good and fit the players are which will eventually allow us to make informed choices.
“Though I’m happy with the results, we’re not there yet, until we have a formidable team for the execution of our task. ”
Azeez said the team will engage in more friendly games to work on the lapses noticed.
