Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the entrepreneurs to build environment-friendly factories instead of setting up industrial factories everywhere.
The prime minister made this call to the entrepreneurs in his speech as the chief guest at the official opening of ‘Made in Bangladesh Week 2022’ at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital on Sunday (November 13).
In the event organized by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Advisor to the Prime Minister on Private and Industrial Affairs Salman F Rahman, BGMEA President Farooq Hasan, First Vice President Syed Nazrul Islam, Senior Vice President SM Mannan Kochi and Vice President Shahidullah. Azim was present.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that 16.5 million people of the country should be given safe food.
We do not want to beg from anyone, we will do our own production. For that, it is environment friendly to protect cropland, not to build industries everywhere.I am calling to build a factory. We are also taking measures for it.
He said, 100 economic zones have been developed. Communication systems have improved tremendously. I have done hundreds of bridges including Padma Bridge. Road communication system has been improved. Through these, we are creating communication system not only with Bangladesh, but also with the countries of South Asia and East Asia.
He said, be prepared for the situation, Bangladesh is the most suitable place for business facilities and sourcing. Welcome foreign investors as well as domestic entrepreneurs, find foreign entrepreneurs as your partners. Because there is an excellent investment environment.
Noting that our workers must be trained for the fourth industrial revolution, the Prime Minister said, I am paying attention to the workers. You are also paying attention to the workers. It is absolutely necessary for them to have a beautiful and clean environment to work and focus. Everyone should give special attention to the workers.
As the reason, he said, my politics is for the farmers, workers and hardworking people of this country. They need to utilize their skills and abilities. Over 16 million people. They have to provide food security. You have to produce it yourself. I will not beg.
