Warri council boosts primary healthcare with multi-million naira equipment

Dr Michael Tidi, the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta, on Tuesday donated hospital equipment worth millions of Naira to the 13 primary healthcare centres in Warri South.

The chairman was represented by his vice, Mrs Divine Iniovosa, at the ceremony that took place at the council’s Secretariat.

Tidi said that the donation was in line with his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the council.

He said the equipment would cater for the health needs of the centres.

The council boss added that the

healthcare needs of the people remained a top priority to his administration.

Tidi urged the health workers to take care of the medical facilities and ensure they were utilised to the benefits of the people.

Dr Oritsematosan Sagay, the Executive Secretary, Primary Healthcare Authority, Warri South, received the items.

In her remark, Sagay lauded the council’s chairman for the donation and expressed confidence that the equipment would improve the quality of healthcare delivery services in the council.

According to report, some of the medical items included Sanction Machine Manual, Examination Couch, Adult and infant hospital beds and mattresses, Kidney DNH (small and big).
