Ekerette Udom is set to complete a move to Al Najaf in the Iraqi league for an undisclosed fee.
Udom left Nigeria Premier Football League side Sunshine Stars for a move abroad.
The 20-year-old was spotted alongside his agent on his arrival to finalise the deal.
According to reports, the towering defender was a subject of interest from Rivers United after the departure of Dennis Ndassi.
Udom was understood to have turned down an improved contract to remain with the Owena Waves.
He featured in all of Sunshine Stars matches in the NPFL last season and also represented Nigeria U-20 team.
Udom joined the Edith Agoye’s side from Dakkada FC in 2022-23 NPFL season.
