Flamingos captain, Alvine Dah-Zossu is upbeat that the team will put up a respectable showing at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.
Bankole Olowookere’s girls are currently in Koceli, Turkey, for a 10-day camping exercise ahead of the competition.
The Flamingos defeated Galatasaray Ladies 3-1 in a friendly last Saturday.
The Nigerian girls will face Fenerbahce Ladies in another friendly later this week.
As they continue their preparation for the competition, Dah-Zossu underlined the team’s readiness to do well in India.
“Every training day is an opportunity to learn, good things don’t come easily but we are determined to do well at the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup. We won’t rest until we achieve our aim”, she told thenff.com.
The Flamingos will take on Germany in their opening game of the campaign on Tuesday, October 11, in Goa.
