Tinubu swears in Tunji Disu as substantive IGP

‎President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police.

‎The event took place at a ceremony held in the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja, on Wednesday.


‎The new IGP took the oath of office after the reading of his citation by the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye.


‎Present at the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima, cabinet members, and other dignitaries.


‎President Bola Tinubu, after swearing in Disu, equally swore in newly appointed commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Federal Civil Service Commission.


‎The ceremony preceded the beginning of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting.


‎Recall that Disu was appointed on February 24 after the resignation of the outgone IGP Kayode Egbetokun.


‎President Tinubu decorated Disu the following day with the new rank of IGP.
