Tinubu Appoints Four New Permanent Secretaries for FCT

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new permanent secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

The appointments, according to a statement signed by the FCTA Director of Press, Anthony Ogunleye, on Wednesday, were necessitated by the imminent retirement of two of the previously appointed secretaries and the creation of the Youth Development Secretariat.

The newly appointed secretaries are Okeke Joy Chinwe (South East), Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde (South West), and Nathan Nancy Sabanti (North East).

Tinubu also approved the formalisation of the position of the Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration as Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretaries.

The swearing-in for the newly appointed secretaries and the Youths Mandate Secretary will be held on Thursday.

The statement reads, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four permanent secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

“These appointments were necessitated by the imminent retirement from the service of two permanent secretaries and the creation of the Youth Development Secretariat.

“President Tinubu also approved the formalisation of the position of the Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration as Solicitor General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat. The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and the Mandate Secretary for Youth Development Secretariat will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024.”
