Support Group Rallies Behind Soludo for Anambra 2025, Declares Govt House Vacancy-Free

A support group propagating the actualisation of the second-term bid of the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, under the aegis of Soludo Unity and Human Development Advocacy, has declared that there is ‘no vacancy’ at Anambra State Government House in Agu-Awka.

The group said the governor’s performances in just two years in office have surpassed the eight years in office of all his predecessors, adding that “there is no vacancy” in Anambra State Government House in 2025.

Speaking at a stakeholders engagement forum and press conference in Awka, on Tuesday, the Director-General of SUHDA, Prince Victor Ude-Ubaka, said the group is supporting Soludo’s reelection in 2025 after its survey showed “convincing” and “unprecedented” developmental performances of the governor across the 21 local government areas of the state of the state in just two years in office.

Ude-Ubaka noted that the All Progressives Grand Alliance-led past governors, from the administration of Peter Obi to the current administration of Soludo have not disappointed in delivering dividends of good governance to the people of the state.

He said, “This is a grassroots-oriented group with a presence in all the 21 local government areas of the state. It was formed to drum support for the re-election of the state governor, Prof. Soludo, because of his unique and all-round developmental performances in all sectors across the state in just two years in office.

“Soludo has taken public service to a higher level and has raised the bar as far as governance is concerned. His style of governance is the opposite of ‘brigandage,’ which other desperate politicians have exemplified in the past.

“His resounding performances in job creation, youth empowerment, road and rural infrastructure, industrialisation, health, and education in just two years have dwarfed that of his predecessors.

Before the arrival of the governor, about eight local government areas in the state were under the control of unknown gunmen and brigands who ran criminal rings and held the areas hostage, paralysing economic and commercial activities

“But Soludo’s pro-active security measures since the inception of his administration liberated and recovered these eight local government areas of the state from the hands of criminal elements, and laid the foundation to steadily build a secure and liveable Anambra State of today.

“Our governor is not a regular politician, but a generational gift and genius, who has sign-posted a strong and enduring fortitude, invincible determination and resilient vision to make the state a shining monument and example.”

He further urged the people of the state to shun “over-ambitious” and “desperate” politicians, who are already painting social media with unconventional lies, aimed at distraction,” saying that the group stands on the sanctity of power rotation after Soludo’s second tenure.

He added, “The fact that Soludo has out-performed all his predecessors in every ramification, taking governance to locations which have never tasted governance in their entire existence, morality demands that he should be encouraged to continue in his good works. He doesn’t need any iota of distraction at this point.”

Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Dr Alex Obiogbolu, said the re-election of the governor will strengthen the unity of Ndigbo to have a stronger voice at the centre.

Obiogbolu, who was represented by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Political Mobilisation, Obiajulu Nwoye, pointed out that the need to re-elect Soludo and other APGA candidates at the national and state assemblies is to ensure harmony and pursuit of common interest for the overall goal of the people of the South-East zone, particularly Anambra State.

He noted that the APGA-led government is committed to getting the people of the Southeast zone to properly think and take the right steps in their political choice to make APGA dominant in power in the entire Southeast states.

Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka, Dr Alexander Ibezim, represented by Venerable Chima Oranye, hailed SUHDA for appreciating the good works of the governor and charged members to move into the hinterlands to propagate the achievements more as missionaries among indigenes and non-indigenes alike in the state.

National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Jude Anuli, also declared that there’s no vacancy in Government House, Awka until Soludo from Anambra South senatorial district in line with power shift mantra in the state.
