Set Aside Religious Sentiments For Progress & Development – Comr Daniel Onjeh

Candidate for Senate in Benue South Senatorial district under the flagship of the All Progressive Congress, Comrade Daniel Onjeh has urged his supporters to avail their votes to all APC candidates in the 2023 general election irrespective of religious affiliation.

Comrade Onjeh who gave the advice at the weekend in Otukpo while inaugurating his campaign council said what the people should look out for are people of integrity, capability and passion to transform and develop the country and by extension the state.

He said “we all witnessed the deplorable state of Okpokwu-Otukpo-Ogbadibo road under two Christian presidents; His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and His Excellency Dr GoodLuck Jonathan respectively but the road was eventually fixed in the administration of a Muslim president, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari.

Furthermore, the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo which wasn’t made possible for us under two Christian Presidents: Obasanjo and Jonathan; became a reality under the leadership of President Buhari”. Likewise the Oweto bridge which is now strengthening the economy of Benue South was also completed by president Buhari, not a Christian President”.

For the presidential seat, he urged his supporters to vote in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who made Lagos what it is today and his running mate, Kashim Shetima as well as Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia and his deputy Sam Ode in the state level.

On his part Comrade Onjeh promised to make laws that would bring about security , prosperity and development in not just Benue south but Benue as a state when voted into office.

The Onjeh Campaign Organization cuts across all Polling Units in Benue South Senatorial District, with a 2 member Central Advisory Council at the highest level, comprising Chairman and a Central Secretary, the Local Government Advisory Council made up of a Chairman and Secretary, and varied number of members for each of the 9 local governments in Benue South, “depending on the peculiarities of the local governments”

The Campaign Directorates at the Central Level of the campaign structure comprise 19 distinct Directorates and 30 appointed officials, including a Director General and a Campaign Secretary and four Federal Constituency Liaison Officers who could be Executive Committee Members of the APC at the local government level.

In addition, the campaign organization has a 4 member structure in each of the nine local governments in Benue South, comprising of a Local Government Coordinator, a Secretary, a Woman Mobilizer and a Youth Mobilizer and a Coordinator for each of the various Districts in Benue South while for the various Council Wards, a 4 member structure consisting of a Coordinator, a Secretary, a Woman Mobilizer and a Youth Mobilizer has been constituted. At the Polling Units level, the structure comprises each of a Coordinator, a Secretary, a Woman Mobilizer, a Youth Mobilizer and twenty (20) canvassers, to include 10 men and 10 women.
