Saudi Arabia to Host Second Stakeholders Consultation Meeting Ahead of 11th World Water Forum

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the World Water Council, has announced plans to host the Second Stakeholders Consultation Meeting of the 11th World Water Forum, scheduled to hold from April 8 to 9, 2026, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah.

The meeting, co-hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the World Water Council, is a key milestone in preparations for the 11th World Water Forum, which will take place in Riyadh in 2027.

It is expected to bring together water leaders, experts, policymakers, and partners from across the globe to shape ideas, initiatives, and partnerships aimed at addressing pressing global water challenges.

According to the organisers, the consultation meeting will be held under the overarching theme, “Action for a Better Tomorrow,” with a focus on translating dialogue and collaboration into concrete, measurable actions through the Forum’s thematic, regional, and political processes.

Building on the outcomes of the first stakeholders’ consultation meeting held in Riyadh in April 2025, the Jeddah meeting will emphasise strengthening collaboration across sectors and regions, ensuring that ideas developed during the consultations lead to tangible impact.

The organisers described the meeting as a critical moment to align expertise, ambition, and commitment within the global water community, particularly in response to growing challenges posed by climate change, rapid urban development, and security pressures affecting water resources worldwide.
