Rangers midfielder, Ugochukwu Ugwuoke is set to undergo a surgery on his knee.
Ugwuoke has been sidelined with the injury for nearly two years.
The chairman of the Coal City outfit, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku made the announcement in Enugu.
The lawyer revealed that the midfielder will have the surgery done at an undisclosed specialist center in the state.
“Yes, management has decided to work the talk to see that Ugwuoke is back on the field to help us win matches,” Ezeaku told Rangers media.
“This is a bundle of talent that cannot just be left to waste, hence our decision to get in touch with a top medical professional to help with his niggling knee injury that is threatening his career.
“With the assurances we have, in less than six months, Ugwuoke Ugochukwu will be fully fit to defend the colours of Rangers again.”
