The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, has deployed 1,850 personnel to provide security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
The Command Public Relations Officer, DSC Habeeb Badamsi made the disclosure in a statement issued on Thursday in Kaduna.
He said the NSCDC Commandant in the state had directed the officers to be valiant and tactically prepared to protect lives and properties during the festivities.
“He also directed all personnel deployed for this year’s Eid-al-Fitr celebrations to ensure that critical national assets and infrastructure are well protected.
“He urged all the officers to take precautions, be extra vigilant and more security conscious, considering the present security challenges in the state.”
Badamasi added that the commandant encouraged residents to celebrate the Eid-al-Fitr with care, love, devoid of trouble or disobedience to laws.
Badamasi said the commandant also advised the residents to be vigilant and watch out for strange faces or any form of criminality and report to security agencies for immediate response.
