Northeast Youth Forum, Urges APC to Consider Dr Ibrahim Dauda As VP candidate

The Northeast Youths Forum, has reiterated its call for the adoption of a young person as running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential Candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu.

The group made the call on Monday in Abuja, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Mr Sirajo Zalanga.

While extending its solidarity with President Muhammadu Buhari’, Tinubu, governors, as well as the APC leadership on the successful National Convention of the party, the group however, urged them to consider Dr Ibrahim Dauda for the Vice Presidential candidacy in the forthcoming elections.

”This is to lend our profound support, and basically to appeal for wisdom in adopting Dr. Ibrahim Dauda as the vice presidential candidate to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for an uninterrupted success come 2023,” Zalanga said in the statement.

According to him, Dauda is a detribalised Nigerian, a man that represents the true Nigerian constituency, a man that is widely accepted by Nigerian youths and the progressives circle from the North.

”He is a distinguished technocrat with a cordial and long standing relationship with the private sector, public sector and the grassroots.

”He is also accepted by the two major religious communities, as a fine gentleman with a great sense of humility and fear of God.

”Nigeria and the APC need a younger running mate to complement His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinibu, but such a person should be a man with vision, prudence and capacity that can help the flag bearer secure the
votes of the youth and women constituencies in Nigeria.”

Zalanga expressed the group’s faith in the ability and capability of Dauda to assist Tinubu in effectively running the affairs of the country.

”The Northeast Youth Forum has a profound belief that, Dr Dauda is a man empowered with the dynamics of governance and administration.

”A management consultant and a cyber security expert. such a man, if picked as running mate to Tinibu, by Nigeria will benefit from his expertise and agility in providing democratic devidends to citizens.”

According to the group, youth groups, tribal groups, students’ bodies, as well as traditional rulers all over Nigeria, had endorsed Dauda to be nominated as running mate to Tinubu to achieve the APC’s goal of winning in the 2023 General Elections.

”We therefore, as the Northeast youth Forum, endorse Dr. Ibrahim Dauda to adopted by the APC, and all stakeholders as Tinibu’s running mate.”
