The Nigeria National League (NNL) has debunked claims it is planning to adopt an abridged format for the 2023/24 season.
The head of media and publicity of the league, Amar Ignis said the information is completely false.
Ignis urged NNL clubs to disregard the information as they continue their preparation for the new season.
He also assured that the date for the commencement and pattern of the new season will be agreed on by clubs and the league board at the Annual General Assembly meeting.
The AGM is scheduled to hold on Friday 29th September in Jos, Plateau State.
All the 40 NNL clubs are expected to be present at the meeting.
