NITDA Hosts Borno State University Vice-Chancellor to Strengthen Collaboration on Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity

In a strategic move to enhance collaboration in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and IT capacity building, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) welcomed the Vice-Chancellor of Borno State University, Prof. Babagana Gutti, and his team on a familiarisation visit.

The meeting, held at NITDA’s headquarters, underscored the agency’s commitment to fostering educational growth through technology-driven solutions. Representing the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, the Director of IT Infrastructure Solutions, Oladejo Olawunmi, emphasized NITDA’s pivotal role in advancing digital literacy, enhancing access to IT infrastructure, and driving innovation through strategically established hubs across the nation.

Olawunmi highlighted NITDA’s comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, which aims to safeguard digital ecosystems while promoting safe and responsible technology usage. He noted that the agency remains dedicated to supporting educational institutions by integrating cutting-edge technology solutions, thereby equipping students and educators with the necessary digital skills for the modern world.

Prof. Babagana Gutti expressed gratitude for NITDA’s warm reception and lauded its contributions to Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with NITDA in enhancing Borno State University’s IT infrastructure and digital literacy programs, ultimately empowering students and faculty with essential technological skills.

The familiarisation visit served as a platform for exploring potential partnerships that would drive digital innovation and cybersecurity awareness, particularly in the educational sector.
