In a landmark event for Nigeria’s burgeoning tech ecosystem, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), through its subsidiary, the Office for the Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDINigeria), has successfully concluded the 2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge.
The competition, which targeted Nigeria’s young and talented innovators, focused on addressing critical challenges in key sectors such as healthcare, education, and transportation. Aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the initiative sought to foster a robust digital ecosystem while empowering the next generation of Nigerian tech leaders.
Inframappers Takes the Crown
Team “Inframappers” emerged victorious, clinching the top prize of ₦5 million for their groundbreaking solution. The team’s innovative project promises to revolutionize infrastructure mapping and management in Nigeria, showcasing the potential of homegrown solutions to tackle complex national issues.

Speaking at the event, NITDA’s Director General, Kashifu Inuwa, represented by Mr. Oladejo Olawumi, Director of the Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions Department, highlighted the agency’s unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
