Kogi State Govt Reaffirms Commitment To The Ease Of Doing business, To Partner NUJ To Achieve Set Goals

Kogi State Government has reaffirmed it’s commitment to ease of doing business with both private and corporate organisations in the State.

The Director-General, Kogi State Utility Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency, KUIMCA, Alhaji Taufiq Isa, stated this when he received in audience the State Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, led by the Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Ademu Haruna in Lokoja.

Alhaji Taufiq said the Agency has been repositioned to perform it’s duty effectively to check non compliance with State laws and regulations in terms of doing the right thing by companies operating in the State.

According to him, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo has given KUIMCA all that’s needed to perform optimally to generate more revenue to the State and encourage investors to invest in the State.

The DG said he along the Boards members and management of the Agency will not allow individuals or organisations to short-change the State as the present administration is building a solid upon the good foundation laid by the immediate past government.

He appealed for continued support of the NUJ members in the State as partners in progress towards achieving set goals.

Earlier in his remarks, the State Chairman of the NUJ, Alhaji Seidu Ademu Haruna said the Council is poised to collaborate with KUIMCA as an Agency saddled with enormous task of managing the state infrastructure for overall progress and development of Kogi State.

The NUJ Chairman commended Governor Ododo for appointing a session technocrat and goal getter over the affairs of the Agency .

Alhaji Seidu assured of a robust synergy with the Agency for a greater Kogi State.

Board Members of KUIMCA, Hon Olayinka Emmanuel, Hon Suleiman Onimisi Abdullahi and Hon Agada Paul as well as Directors of the Agency all restated their commitment to supporting the leadership of the DG to achieve the mandate of KUIMCA.
