Kebbi NUJ felicitate with the New President of (NBA) Bar. Yakubu Maikyau (SAN)

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kebbi State Council has congratulated Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on the successful conclusion of its elections, rejoicing with Mr Yakubu Maikyau,(SAN) the new leader of the legal body.

In a Press statement signed by the Council sercertary, Comerade Alhaji Ahmed Idris in Birnin Kebbi congratulated the son of the soil and a legal luminary for emerging the 31st President of the Association.

“On behalf of the Kebbi State Council of NUJ felicitated with Bar. Yakubu Maikyau for his emergency as the President of NBA, wishes him all the best in his administration” he said.

He noted that Bar. Yakubu Maikyau had over the years played a major role in democratic and economic development of the State and Nigeira at large, with advocacy, counselling and partnership with governments.

The NUJ saluted his contribution towards promoting the NBA to a higher level, as well as building partnerships and integration with the state NUJ during his Primaries assignments.

The Council also looked forward to a healthy working relationship with the new national leaders of the NBA, believing the noble and patriotic antecedents of the legal body would be upheld, and further projected to the State.
