Katsina anti-corruption commission arrests Perm Sec over alleged ₦136m fraud

The Katsina State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has apprehended the Permanent Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Muheeb Ibrahim Bamidele.

He was taken into custody along five others, over allegations of misappropriation of funds amounting to ₦136 million.

Reports indicate that the funds were embezzled from the Banking and Finance Department’s account, which Bamidele previously headed.

The Commission stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full truth of the matter and ensure justice for the people of the state.

The Secretary of the Commission, Dr. Jamilu M. Abdulsalam, emphasized that the investigation into this scandal will continue, and anyone found guilty will be held accountable.

The Commission has pledged to keep the public informed of new developments once the investigation is concluded.
