Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission has organised a one-day training for non-judicial officers, on electronic filing method and case management in Dutse, the state capital.
Declaring the training opened on Wednesday, the Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Auwalu Dan’azumi, said the training aimed at migrating from manual court processes to digital system in the state Judiciary.
The training, he said, has targetted court Registrars, Clerks and other category of staff to be trained on the use of electronic filing system, to reduce papers consumption in various Courts.
“Therefore, by using this innovation, it is easy to create, organise and share digital files and other legal documents efficiently.
“Moreover, electronic filing system has come to save time and cost, thus minimising direct and physical contact between courts and judicial staff,” Dan’azumi explained.
He noted that the training would reposition the judicial sector in the state, thus easing the job of the workers and limiting their movements.
He called on the participants to pay attention to the newly acquired skills and utilise them effectively for the benefit of the state.
Dan’azumi further appealed for their support as the state judiciary shifted from manual to digital filing and case management.
