As part of activities marking the event, 150 women suffering from breast cancer will participate in breast cancer street walk campaign from the Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic to the Government House, where they will seek audience with Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The street walks are planned to create massive public awareness on the dangers of breast cancer and to encourage early detection of the disease thereby saving lives.

“We are disturbed on the alarming increase in the case of breast cancer that is threatening the lives of women. We also commend the efforts of the Nasarawa State government in tackling this killer disease and we are determined to key into this laudable Initiative,” Rahab Elisha stated.

She explained that her organization is poised to confront breast cancer frontally, with the street walk as one of the several initiatives towards creating awareness and bringing succour to women suffering from breast cancer.
