Real Madrid ace, Eden Hazard, is reportedly blocking the club from bringing former Manchester City forward, Brahim Diaz.
Real Madrid is reportedly keen on letting go of Hazard in a bid to create room in their squad for Diaz.
Diaz is expected to return to Real Madrid next season following his loan spell with AC Milan comes to an end.
The 23-year-old signed for Real Madrid back in January 2019 for a transfer fee in the region of £15m.
He signed a six-year contract with the Los Blancos which will expire in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Spain international has been with AC Milan since September 2020 after agreeing on a three-year loan spell.
With the deal expiring this summer, Real Madrid is hopeful of having Diaz integrated into their squad for the 2023-2024 campaign.
However, Diaz’s potential return to the reigning UEFA Champions League holders is facing a stumbling block, as the La Liga champions will need to free up space in their squad to accommodate him.
According to Football Transfers, Hazard is believed to be blocking Diaz’s return to Madrid next season.
The Belgian is currently surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu after consistently being overlooked by manager Carlo Ancelotti this season.
The 32-year-old is said to not be keen on leaving Madrid this summer, as he plans to see out his current deal, which expires in 2024.
Hazard’s time with Madrid has largely been described as a huge failure since securing a big-money move to the club from Chelsea in 2019.
