Gunmen attack on Lasun Yusuff’s house, wicked, unfortunate – Ogunbiyi

Akin Ogunbiyi, the Accord Party gubernatorial candidate in the Osun election has described the gun attack on the private residence of Lasun Yusuff, as wicked and unfortunate.

Ogunbiyi also described the attack as a sign that politicians had not learnt any lesson from past occurrences.

Lasun Yusuff is the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in the Osun election.

According to report, his residence was attacked by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in the early hours of Monday, July 11, 2022.

In a press statement issued on Monday in Osogbo by the Ogunbiyi Campaign Organisation, he expressed gratitude to God that the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and his family members were not hurt in the attack

“The attack was wicked and unfortunate and a sign that politicians had not learnt any good lesson from past occurrences.

“I thank God that Yusuff and his dear family were not hurt in the attack,” he said.

While maintaining that the blood of anyone in the State must not be shed to secure the victory of anyone at the polls, he urged the people to shun evil and any action that could disturb the peace of the State.
