Ganaja Community And It’s Environs interacts With Ajaokuta Reps Member, Passes Confidence vote On Governor Usman Ododo

The people of Ganaja community and it’s Environs of Ajaokuta LGA, on Saturday, met with the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency at the 10th National Assembly, Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem at his Lokoja resident.

In an event that attracted prominent personalities and various tribal leaders from Ganaja community, where a vote of confidence was passed on the leadership qualities of Governor. Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo , on his achievements so far in the last 100 days in office, and described it as a worthy successor of former governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello .

While also passing a vote of confidence on the Ajaokuta House of Reps Member for his incredible feat so far as the congressman representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, the people of Ganaja community praised him for taking Ganaja community as his second home, providing laudable projects that has been of immense benefit to the people.

A number of request, however, were tendered to Gov. Usman Ododo led administration by the people of Ganaja community through their Representative, Hon Sanni Abdulraheem .

These requests include;
Establishment of a government secondary schools in Ganaja community, Establishment of an Ultramodern Market in Ganaja community and the Provision of a major healthcare center in Ganaja community

According to the people of Ganaja community, the provision of all these facilities will further widen development in the community due to the increasing population over time.

While responding to the team of visitors from Ganaja community, Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem expressed his delight over what he described as “a worthy visit” by members of his constituency who has acknowledged good governance by the Gov. Usman Ododo led administration in his last few months of purposeful leadership.

Hon Sanni, however, reminded the visitors that Gov. Usman Ododo’s government of consolidation has done a lot so far in the areas of Heath services, Education, Security and providing enabling environment for an improved economy through his fair programmes and policies.

According to Hon Sanni Abdulraheem, “I have listened to all the requests brought forward by your community and will, insha Allah, tender these requests before his Excellency, governor Usman Ododo for consideration.

“You will recall that the Governor has keenly followed the footsteps of his predecessor, former Governor Yahaya Bello in delivering good governance for the people; So I am assuring you that Insha Allah, Ganaja community will not be left out. More schools will be opened, hospitals will built and most importantly, as part of your request, the establishment of an Ultra modern Market place in Ganaja community, which will open Kogi state to an international business hub due to the strategic location of the community, which is centered at the 16Km radius from the Ajaokuta Iron and Steel company and also the proposed Adogo Cargo Airport, where imported goods and services coming from eastern part of the country, like Onitsha, Aba, will be directly transported to the market.

“The community proximity with Kogi East and the riverine communities like Shitaku, Gbobe, Echewu, is of another significant advantage, where the market will play host to all the farms products coming from Dekina, Ankpa, Itobe, Idah, Ayingba, Ibaji Other communities.

“The Ganaja Ultra modern market will not only open Kogi State to an international business hub, but will also increase the state internally generated revenue were it will be competing with states like Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Anambra, whose revenues are source out from market places and businesses.

The federal lawmaker also assured the people of Ganaja community of his commitment in ensuring the completion of the Ganaja prone flood road rehabilitation project, saying that he will be following up on the project supervisor at the federal level to hasten it’s full completion in order to ameliorate the pains and suffering of residents and commuters, who had to bear the brunt of the deplorable road for years now.
