Chelsea have reportedly emerged as favorites to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window.
Ronaldo’s time at Man United seems to be close to its end after his recent explosive interview with British veteran journalist Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo had called out Man United and manager Erik ten Hag during the interview.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner told Morgan he would never respect Ten Hag, adding that he feels betrayed at Man United, where he is already a living legend.
However, according to Betfair, Chelsea are now the favourite to sign Ronaldo next year.
The Blues were among the top clubs linked with the 37-year-old over the summer window earlier this year, but then-manager Thomas Tuchel vetoed the move.
With Graham Potter now at the helm of affairs at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea could once again move in for the former Real Madrid and Juventus star.
Ronaldo’s current contract with Man United will expire at the end of the season.
