According to a statement credited to the Crops PRO, Babawale Afolabi and made available to the newsmen in Abuja yesterday, the Corps have been inundated with complaints from victims who had parted with their hard earned money ranging from N250,000 to N500000 before they were issued the fake letters only to get to the NSCDC office and found out that they have been scammed.

Babawale narrated in thae statement, “The Commandant General of the NSCDC Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, will like to alert the public of the fake and malicious employment letters currently circulating in the country and to state categorically and unequivocally that the misleading and criminal employment letters did not emanate from the NSCDC nor from the Fire, Immigration and Correctional Service Board but the handwork of yet to be identified and faceless criminal minded individuals who are taking undue advantage of desperate job seekers in the country.”

He stated further that the Commandant General has ordered for the nationwide manhunt for members of the syndicate behind the viral NSCDC employment letters adding that efforts were already yielding positive results.
