Security agencies and other teams deployed to the scene of the Tuesday night explosion in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have began rescue operations.
According to reports, the explosion occured at a building located at Dejo Oyelese close, Bodija Housing Estate in Ibadan.
Our correspondent, who is currently at the scene, reports that sniffer dogs detected a man, prompting the security agents to evacuate him to a hospital for attention.
The teams at the scene of the explosion comprise of Red Cross, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun operatives, Department of State Services and the Oyo State Emergency Management Agency.
The rescue operation was ongoing at the time of filing this report on Wednesday.
