Ekiti: Arise hails INEC’s deployment of BVAS technology

The deployment of the BVAS technology in the ongoing gubernatorial election in Ekiti State has been praised by Senator Ayo Arise.

Arise, who represented Ekiti North Senatorial Distirct between 2007-2011, said the new technology by INEC known as BVAS had enhanced the electoral process.

“INEC deserves commendations for coming up with this technology because it has enhanced the turnout of voters and the process is fast,” he stated after casting his vote.

He voted at his ward one, unit 4 Oye-Ekiti, before granting an interview.

“The whole process is well put together; the election has been peaceful so far, people have been conducting themselves peacefully.

“Reports reaching me indicate that there is a large turn out of voters in my community and from what I have seen so far, security arrangement has been excellent.

“My people are beginning to recognize and appreciate my roles in this community. And out of that respect, they decided to vote for my party.

“I live in Abuja but I am constantly in touch with my people. I am an APC chieftain, even though we have a candidate from another political party, but my people have decided to honour me with their votes based on my contributions to the community,” he said.
