Editor of Bangladesh’s Daily Tritiyamatra, Rabin Siddiqui, Marks Birthday

Rabin Siddiqui, editor and publisher of Bangladesh’s national newspaper Daily Tritiyamatra, is celebrating his birthday today.

Rabin Siddiqui, widely regarded as one of the country’s most respected journalists, has worked in the profession for more than four decades. Colleagues describe him as a pioneer who upheld integrity and inspired younger reporters through his leadership.

Born at district Nilphamari in bangladesh, a rural district in northern Bangladesh, Rabin Siddiqui grew up with the values of simplicity, responsibility and honesty. He entered journalism in the late 1970s and has since written on politics, economics, culture and society with clarity and analysis.

As editor of Daily Tritiyamatra, he not only led the newsroom but also built what reporters describe as a “journalistic family.” Many of the paper’s current and former staff members say they were trained and mentored under his guidance.

Colleagues often called Rabin Siddiqui, “a golden chapter without a red mark,” referring to his reputation for integrity. He consistently rejected political or financial pressure and maintained independence in his editorial judgment.

Beyond editing, he supported his staff in both professional and personal matters, a role that earned him the title of guardian within the newsroom. His influence extended to both print and broadcast journalism, with younger reporters viewing him as a mentor.

Family and colleagues say his personal life mirrored his professional values. As the eldest son of his family, Rabin Siddiqui, carried responsibility with humility while remaining approachable and respected.

On his birthday, fellow journalists and well-wishers across Bangladesh have expressed admiration for his contributions. In all Bangladesh Daily Tritiyamatra District and upzila correspondend and all Tritiyamatra family other cities, prayers were offered for his health, longevity and continued role as a guiding light in the nation’s media.
