Former Chelsea star, Jason Cundy has described as decent, the club’s reported move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.
Cundy, however, thinks the deal is totally the idea of the new owner, Todd Boehly and not the manager, Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea is looking for replacements for some of their outgone and outgoing stars.
Following Ronaldo’s weekend announcement that he would not want to continue at Old Trafford over the Red Devils’ failure to qualify for the Champions League, the Portugal international has been tipped to join Chelsea.
The Blues are also closing in on a £50 million move for Sterling, while the prospect of signing superstars Ronaldo and Neymar has been discussed.
“Ronaldo, there’s a part of me that’s a little bit concerned that it’s not going to be a Thomas Tuchel signing,” he told talkSPORT.
“It feels a little bit like a Todd Boehly one where he’s come in with the money and he’s getting seduced by one of the world’s greatest ever players and he’s available.
“And then there’s Sterling, which for me makes so much sense, I don’t quite know what he’s going to cost but it feels and sounds like it’s going to be a decent deal.”
