The General Manager of the Kogi Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA), Cheif Momoh O. Dauda has assured the people of the state that his agency will continue to execute projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Chief Momoh stated this in Agassa his hometown, in Okene Local Government Area of the state, shortly after he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Odovidi Engworo of Ihima Kingdom, by the Ohi of Ihima, HRH, Alhaji Abdulraheem Ahmed Ogido, during the Royal father’s celebration of the 16th anniversary of his coronation.
According to the Ohi of Ihima, Chief Momoh’s recognition was as a result of his commitment to ensuring that basic social amenities are provided in several communities across the state and particularly in several Ihima communities.
Chief Momoh noted that as a son and friend of the community, he knows their challenges, assuring that interventions would be provided in the areas of educational development, healthcare Infrastructure, and rural water schemes among others.
He thanked Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the confidence reposed in him and for giving him freehand and financial support, which was responsible for the landmark achievements recorded by the agency.
High Chief Momoh also thanked the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for identifying him as a worthy appointee in his government.
Chief Dauda Momoh, currently the General Manager, Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA), was Born on 15th November, 1975 in Agassa, Okene LGA of Kogi State to the family of Mallam Abdulsalami Momoh and Hajia Zainab Momoh.
He attended LSMB Primary School Okene from 1979 to 1985. He proceeded to obtain his Senior Secondary School Certificate at Okene Community Secondary School, Anyava, Okene in 1991.
Chief Momoh holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Industrial Chemistry from the prestigious Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 2000.
After completing his compulsory National Youth Service at Ozalla High School in Enugu State as a teacher in 2001, he proceeded to gain further experience in the labour market before obtaining his Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry from University of Abuja in 2009. He is currently working on his doctoral dissertation in Analytical Chemistry at the Federal University Lokoja in Kogi State.
Chief Dauda Momoh was appointed as the General Manager, Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, in 2018, where his services has contributed immensely to the development of poor and rural community in Kogi State under the World Bank assisted programmes, Community and Social Development Project – Additional Financing and Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (later Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus).
His accomplishments with the agency led the State government to adopt and replicate Community Driven Development approach to community social infrastructural development in Kogi State.
Since assumption of office, more than three hundred and eighty (380) micro-projects have been completed across communities in the three (3) senatorial districts of Kogi State.
As part of his recognition in community development, Chief Momoh was awarded the title of Atuluse of Ogale Idi-Oro Kingdom in 2021, before the recent one by the Ohi of Ihima.
Chief Dauda Momoh is happily married with three wonderful children.
