The Nigerian Government has given an update on the movement of students from Sudan.
The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed that the stranded students have started moving.
Earlier reported that the evacuation of Nigerian students out of Sudan encountered hitches.
According to a viral video, the buses conveying Nigerian students and non-student out of Sudan were stopped in the middle of the Sahara desert.
A voice narrating the incident in the video claimed that the drivers refused to continue the journey because they were not paid.
Reacting to the development, Dabiri said the issues have been resolved, and the buses have started moving.
Tweeting, Dabiri wrote: “Just spoke to @nemanigeria. They have started moving again. Whatever issues they have have been resolved.”
