Bangladesh strongly condemns Israeli massacre in Gaza

Dhaka Correspondent

The Bangladesh government has strongly condemned and condemned the ongoing massacre and gross human rights violations by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. The Foreign Ministry expressed this condemnation on behalf of the government on Monday (April 7).

A press release from the Foreign Ministry said that Israel unilaterally violated the ceasefire last month and launched a military attack. In this, numerous Palestinians have been killed, most of whom are women and children. At the same time, Israel has created a terrible humanitarian disaster by preventing the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Israel has not heeded the repeated calls of the international community and has instead increased the level of genocide.

The press release also said that Bangladesh strongly condemns the indiscriminate airstrikes by the Israeli occupation forces in densely populated civilian areas in Gaza and the deliberate actions of ethnic cleansing against helpless Palestinians. The Government of Bangladesh strongly demands that Israel immediately cease all military operations, exercise maximum restraint and fulfill its obligations under international human rights law.

Bangladesh calls on the international community, especially the United Nations, to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities. It calls for immediate and effective action to implement an unconditional ceasefire and end all hostilities. It also calls for effective measures to protect the lives of innocent civilians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

It further states that the Government of Bangladesh reiterates its strong support for all the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to self-determination and the right to establish an independent and sovereign State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital on the basis of the 1967 borders.

The Government of Bangladesh reiterates the need to return to the dialogue and diplomatic process for sustainable peace in the Middle East. It also called on all parties concerned to return to the path of diplomacy and dialogue to end the ongoing violence and suffering of the Palestinian people.

Bangladesh called on the global community to work towards a two-state solution based on international law, UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Palestinian people for peace, dignity and justice.
