Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, is set to undergo medicals with Nottingham Forest ahead of a club-record £17.5million move to Nottingham Forest.
Awoniyi, who was previously on the books of Liverpool, is expected to sign for the Premier League new boys.
Forest clinched the final spot in England’s top flight after they were promoted from the Championship via the play-offs.
According to BZ Berlin, Awoniyi has said his goodbyes to Union Berlin and flown out of Germany.
After signing for Liverpool in the summer of 2015, he failed to make a single appearance for the club over his six seasons at the club.
This led to the 24-year-old going out on seven loans across Europe, due to work permit issues.
Awoniyi then scored 20 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions last campaign, attracting the attention of several sides around Europe, including ‘two other Premier League clubs’, claim reports from journalist Ryan Taylor.
