An activists and former national coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Alliance, Austin Okai has emerged as the Party’s Flagbearer for the forthcoming general election for Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency.
He picked the PDP ticket for Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency after
defeating his closet rival, Hon. Emmanuel Omebije with 28 to 16 votes.
Okai while addressing the media after he was declared winner, extended the olive branch to his co- contestant, Omebije as he urged him to join hands with him to win the general election.
He commended the peaceful conduct of the Primaries, as he promised to continue with his good work if elected at the general election.
