The Action People’s Party (APP) has secured a landslide victory in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area elections, with Rt. Hon. (Dr) Enyiada Cookey-Gam emerging as the winner of the Chairmanship election.
News reports stated that Opobo/Nkoro is the hometown of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The APP has also won the councillorship elections, winning all 11 wards in the local government area.
