Police Arraign Alleged Serial Killer ‘Olori Esho’ Over Multiple Murders

The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a suspected serial killer, Wasiu Akinwande, popularly known as Olori Esho, before an Ogba Chief Magistrates’ Court.

The suspected killer, 44, was taken to court for the alleged murder of eight persons and the attempted killing of a woman who was left permanently disabled.

He appeared on Tuesday before Chief Magistrate Mobolaji Tanimola on an 11-count charge bordering on conspiracy, illegal possession of firearms, use of poisonous weapons, multiple counts of murder, attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, threat to life, and unlawful possession of international passports and other dangerous weapons.

The police alleged that Akinwande, under the nickname Olori Esho, was behind a string of violent crimes that spanned several months.

Upon arraignment, Akinwande pleaded not guilty to all charges.
