Kwankwaso Vows to Win 2027 Presidential Election, Reacts to Ongoing PDP Crisis

The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said he is confident of winning the 2027 presidential election.

Kwankwaso said his party is ready to take over the presidency, states, and other positions across the country.

The Northern Politician who was the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, made this declaration on Saturday during the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat in Katsina. He was in the state for a condolence visit to the Yar’Adua family over the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.

The former Kano State Governor said that the NNPP is heading towards success in the 2027 general elections, citing the party’s preparations and commitment to taking over power.

Kwankwaso also took a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating that it is “already dead” due to its deviation from its original principles.

“I wish to remind you that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” he said.

He urged Nigerians, particularly women and youths, not to be swayed by material inducements during the next elections.

The Kwankwasiyya leader commended the party’s leaders and stakeholders in Katsina for renovating the state secretariat, describing it as part of the preparations for success in the 2027 elections.
