In Ondo, Ododo Delivers Again As APC Leads In Guber Election

By Obansa Ibrahim, Lokoja

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has again proven his mettle as a fast rising political strategist in Nigeria by leading the All Progressives Congress (APC) to unassailable lead in the governorship election in Ondo state with his coordination of on-the-ground operation in Owo and other local government areas in Ondo North Senatorial district.

Our correspondent in Ondo gathered that Governor Ododo coordinated the mobilization of voters in another record breaking performance in Owo and other local government areas in Ondo North Senatorial district.

As the Deputy chairman of the APC committee on election management and strategy in the Ondo state governorship election campaign who coordinated election operation for the APC, Ododo led other stakeholders in the area to work for the party’s victory in the election.

With over one hundred thousand votes recorded so far in Owo, Ose, Akoko South-East, Akoko North-East, Akoko South-West and Akoko North-West local government areas, the APC governorship candidate Lucky Aiyedatiwa is in a commanding lead in two-third of the 18 local government areas in the state.

Governor Ododo had earlier met with stakeholders from Ondo North which has the largest population of Ebiras and other Kogi indigenes in the state at his base in Owo and urged them to mobilize voters across over 50 farming communities and towns to vote for the APC.

This followed Governor Ododo’s campaign stops in Owo and other parts of Ondo North earlier in November to encourage indigenes of Kogi State to support the APC candidate in the Ondo governorship election, promising that their support for the party would be recognized and rewarded.

Like he did in Akoko Edo where the APC secured over 34 thousand votes in the Edo state governorship election in September relying on the predominant Ebira population in the area, Governor Ododo has again delivered massive numbers in votes for the APC in Ondo state with over 31 thousand votes secured by the APC in Owo local government area and a commanding lead in Ondo North senatorial district in the governorship election held November 16, 2024.
