The Adamawa State Government has sworn in eight newly appointed magistrates.
The magistrates who were promoted from Area Courts were sworn in on Friday by the state Chief Judge, Justice Nathan Musa.
During the ceremony which took place at the High Court complex in the state capital, Yola, Justice Nathan Musa, urged the new magistrates to work strictly within laid down rules.
The eight new magistrates are Barristers Aliyu Ahmed, Ibrahim Aliyu, Abubakar Habu, Joseph Mafa, Usman Adamu Laido, Bashir Musa, Ibrahim Yusuf and Umar Hamman Audi.
Justice Nathan Musa reminded the Magistrates of the supremacy of the law and cautioned them against biased and unprofessional conduct, reiterating the commitment of the state judiciary to fighting for the course of justice and ensuring sanity in the judiciary.
One of the newly inaugurated magistrates, Barrister Joseph Mafa who spoke for all of them, appreciated the Chief judge for finding them worthy of their new positions.
