The police command in the Federal Capital Territory has reacted to the alleged missing N180 million belonging to a controversial social media activist, Martins Otse popularly known as Very Dark Man.
The comand’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh said not a single report has been lodged over the alleged missing funds.
Recall that Otse had gone on social media to announce that funds donated by some well-meaning Nigerians had been stolen from his foundation’s account.
According to Otse, the money was stolen by some yet-to-be-identified hackers who diverted the fund into an untraceable account.
However, in its reaction, the police urged Otse to lodge a formal complain at the command.
Adeh said, “The FCT Police Command is not aware of any case involving VDM’s missing funds and is not conducting any investigation into it.
“The individual in question should be contacted to clarify where the matter was reported, as there is no record of such a case with the FCT Police Command.”
