Abia Warriors coach, Orji elated with victory against Kwara United

Abia Warriors caretaker coach, Bethel Orji has expressed delight with his team’s victory over Kwara United.

Orji took charge of the game after the former coach Erasmus Onu was asked to step aside by the club’s management.

The Umuahia club defeated Kwara United 1-0 at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Thursday.

Megwo Sunday netted the only goal of the game in the second half.

Orji believed that the team have the needed quality to improve on their performance in subsequent games

“I am elated and thank the players because they came out to play for the victory over Kwara United,” he said in a post-match interview.

“The refurbishment of the pitch affected our performance a-little but we got used to it and we moved on from there.

“We go back to the basics and strategies on our pattern of play.”
