Security: KSU Kabba Takes Delivery of Brand-new Patrol Bikes

Kogi State University, Kabba on Thursday received five units of brand-new Bajaj motorcycle presented to the institution by Kogi State Security Trust Fund. The presentation ceremony took place in Lokoja, the state capital.

Public Relations Officer, University, said the Executive Chairman of the KGSTF, Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare lauded the responsiveness of the Professor Eniola-led Kogi State University, Kabba in the area of security. He assured the institution of the commitment of the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to the security of the university.

Similarly, in his remarks, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf who was the special guest, assured the Vice Chancellor of the continued support of the House in ensuring that proper legislative actions are undertaken for the growth of the university.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the immediate past Governor and visioner of the university for deeming it necessary to establish the university thereby giving the opportunity to qualified Nigerians to have university education. He further thanked the current governor for the tremendous support the institution has been receiving.

The VC appreciated the Speaker for leading other lawmakers towards a quick passage of the law that established the university in June 2023 and providing legislative backing to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s efforts to support the institution. Similarly, Professor Eniola appreciated the Executive Chairman of the Trust Fund for accurately reflecting the desire and vision of the Governor in the area of security.

Present in the Vice Chancellor’s entourage were some members of the university’s security committee: Dr. Mbashir Abdulateef Olanrewaju, Prof. O.O. Ifatimehin, and Mr Samuel Abedoh Amoto.
