He desires to be Chelsea captain – Reece James’ dad reveals son’s ambition

The father of Chelsea defender Reece James has revealed that his son is interested in captaining the Blues.

Nigel said Reece’s ambition is to wear the armband of his boyhood club.

He disclosed this while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of The Beautiful Game podcast.

Nigel said Reece was heartbroken by Chelsea’s poor performance in the just-concluded season.

“His ambition is to wear Chelsea armband and captain the side. It broke his heart; the season that had just gone, losing games, it really hurt him,” he said.
