Oyo pardons teachers found guilty of collecting illegal fees

The Oyo State Government has pardoned some workers found culpable of collecting illegal fees from pupils in some schools in the state.

The announcement was made on Thursday.

The State Universal Basic Education Board made this revelation via a statement available.

Executive Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, while speaking, said the pardon was to show compassion to fellow human beings.

He warned that the forgiven teachers must desist from collecting illegal fees henceforth.

Adeniran added that the board pardoned the head teachers, despite the recommendations of a disciplinary panel.

He said, “The Board has pardoned the head teachers caught collecting illegal fees in some Basic Schools, despite the recommendations of Disciplinary Panel”.
