Tinubu visits Oba of Lagos, receives royal prayers, counsel

‎President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at the Iga Idunganran Palace on Lagos Island.

‎The visit gave the President an opportunity to receive prayers and guidance from the traditional ruler for his administration and the country.
‎
‎Tinubu was welcomed to the palace by members of the royal household and residents who gathered to catch a glimpse of the President.
‎
‎Supporters, members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and other well-wishers lined the streets around Marina and Isale Eko as his convoy made its way to the palace.
‎
‎The President’s presence attracted cheers from residents, creating a festive atmosphere across parts of Lagos Island.
‎
‎During the visit, Oba Akiolu prayed for Tinubu, his administration and Nigeria, seeking divine guidance, peace and prosperity for the nation.
‎
‎The monarch also offered counsel to the President on issues affecting the country and the welfare of Nigerians.
‎
‎The engagement highlighted the traditional institution’s continued interaction with the Federal Government on matters of national development and the well-being of citizens.
‎
‎Tinubu was accompanied by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
‎
‎APC stalwarts, political associates and other dignitaries also joined the President during the visit.
